Dove Gentle Exfoliating Bodywash review

Hey friends 🙌,

Here I am. ..again with a review 😉.  This time it is a bodywash from Dove. I have been using Dove soap, on and off, since my childhood. I love the moisturisation they provide, but hate the slimy feeling they too provide 😥. I once tried Dove Deeply Nourishing Bodywash and it hasn’t had that slimy feeling. So when I saw this Dove Gentle Exfoliating Bodywash I decided to buy it.

Product description :

This bodywash contains Exfoliating beads which provide gentle exfoliation and Nutrium moisture for nourishment of the skin. It is enriched with skin-natural lipids which get absorbed while you shower. Promises more beautiful skin in the long term, if used daily.

Shelf life :  24 months.

Price :  INR 160 (for 190 ml).

My take on the product :

The bodywash comes in an oval shaped white plastic bottle. It has a flip top cap which closes tightly and there is no chance of spillage. Bottle is quite travel friendly.

Bodywash is creamy in texture and white in colour. Consistency is slightly runny. It contains tiny blue colored exfoliating beads.

Lathers very well. But smells like a detergent. Neither unpleasant nor very pleasant. Skin feels soft on regular usage.

Pros :

  1. Exfoliating beads do their job well.
  2. Pocket friendly.
  3. Makes skin soft on regular use.
  4. Travel friendly packaging.
  5. Does not dry out skin.

Cons :

  1. Contains plastic beads which pollute water bodies and are dangerous for aquatic life. It’s a very major con according to me.
  2. Not suitable to be used ‘down there’ as it contains plastic beads.
  3. Smells like detergent.

Overall rating :  7/10

Will I repurchase : No.

Thanks for reading.
