Himalaya Herbals Kajal review

Kajal is a staple in every indian woman’s vanity. We use kajal for both therapeutic and cosmetic purposes. It makes eyes open up, keeps them beautiful and healthy. During my teen years I used to hate it. But as I grew into my twenties, I fell in love with kajal. Today, I am in my early thirties and I refuse to leave home without my eyes lined with kajal. Oh yes….i love kajal. So today I am going to review Himalaya Herbals Kajal.

Himalaya Herbals Kajal

Price : INR 120 (for 2 gm).

Shelf life: 18 months.

Colour : Black.

Key ingredients: Almond oil, Castor oil, Damask Rose, Camphor, Triphala.

What does the product claim :

  • Extra smooth.
  • Cools eyes.

A herbal kajal enriched with Damask Rose and triphala. Rose contain cooling properties which helps to cool our eyes and triphala helps eyes to look bright. Almond oil nourishes your eyes.

No harmful chemicals.

Hypoallergenic.

My take on the product :

The kajal comes in a plastic packaging which has twist-up mechanism to bring out the kajal stick. It has long green coloured cap which shuts with a click. Packaging is travel friendly. I have actually travelled with it and the cap did not come off in my purse.

The kajal stick is fairly pointed. It does not look pointed in the picture as I have used it a few times. Kajal is jet black in colour. It applies smoothly and does not has waxy type of texture.

On application, it gives a slight cooling effect which I think is due to Camphor in it. I have read that on regular use it makes eyelashes thicker. But I can’t tell it by experience because I have not used it long enough to see that kind of effect.

The only downside is it does not stay more than 3-4 hours and smudges fast. Thus, I have reserved this kajal for night time use.

Final verdict :

8/10. Overall a good product considering the price. And yes, I am gonna buy it again.

Thanks for reading 😍😘
