Joy Skin Fruits Active Moisture Skin Cream : Review

I love to moisturise my skin and I love creams and lotion. In Central India, the air becomes very dry in March. Humidity is just 14% in daytime. My skin feel stretchy and itches if I don’t use any moisturiser. I am not much into makeup, but when it comes to moisturisers and skincare products…..o baby, I love them 😍😘. I recently finished my TBS Satsuma Body Butter, so it was time to make a new purchase. This new purchase turned out to be Joy Skin Fruits Active Moisture Skin Cream. This cream is not only a moisturizing cream but it can also be used for body massage and home facials. I bought a big tub of cream which looks like a bigggg tub of body butter….oh so luxurious 👄💅 .

Price :  INR 275 /- (for 500ml). Also available in 800 ml, 200 ml, 100 ml and 10 ml sizes.

My take on the product :

The product comes in a white coloured tub which has a screw cap. There was an Aluminum foil, covering the mouth of the tub. I liked the fact that tub was filled to the brim and not half empty like some other products.

Cream is pure white in colour. Looks like fresh homemade butter. It has very thick and creamy texture. Its texture reminded me of TBS Satsuma body butter. Despite being thick it spreads well. Only a small amount is required to cover a large part of skin. I have bought 500 gm tub and this is going to last me long.

Fragrance is very mild and somewhat musky. It does not feel fruity to my senses but feels pleasant. It does not linger and dissipates very fast. So, it is not going to interfere with your perfume.

Now coming to the moisturisation part, this cream is an efficient emollient. I have very, very dry feet and it is working well to moisturise them. So you can understand how moisturising this is. I use it as a body cream, a hand cream, a foot cream and yes, I admit that I sometimes use it on my face also, when my face feels too dry. My skin is dry and acne prone, but I have not experienced any break-outs. It keeps my skin moisturised till the next time I wash my face or take shower. Sadly it does not increase the hydration level of skin and provides only temporary moisture. But given the price I do not expect it to do that either.

However, I do not recommend this cream to oily skin people.
Pros :

  1. Good moisturisation.
  2. Buttery texture feels luxurious.
  3. Mild fragrance.
  4. Does not give pimples.
  5. Absorbs well.
  6. Not heavy on pocket.
  7. Easily available.

Cons :

  1. Contains lots of chemicals.
  2. No fruity fragrance
  3. Not suitable for oily skin.
  4. Absorption needs a bit of massaging.

Overall rating : 8/10.

Do I recommend : Yes I recommend it to dry skin people who do not want to spend too much on body moisturiser. This cream is a value for money 👍.
